Opportunity for Artists: Participate in a Sponsored Art Competition Prizes for Winning ArtWork!

ArtWalk on the Bay sponsor SDG&E has been replacing old meter devices around the county with new Smart Meters. The used meters are accumulating, and we hope you will help SDG&E turn them into art!

Please find below a photo of the meters to be turned into artwork. We know that with the creativity of the ArtWalk on the Bay artists, these meters can be transformed with your artistic vision.

The choices are endless. You can create a sculpture, incorporate them into a mixed media piece…you are only limited by your own creativity.

The artwork you create will be displayed at ArtWalk on the Bay, September 18 & 19. There will be 3 prizes awarded. Winners will receive gift certificates to Blick Art Materials in the amount of $500, $200 and $100.

Meters are now available for you to pick up at the ArtWalk office in Little Italy.

Here are photos of the meters. You may request up to 10 of them if you plan to create a large piece. We do request that you use all of the meters you take.

The size is: 7“diameter. The surface is made of either glass or plexiglass (there are two different types.)
