Tent Questions

What size are the tents?
Individual artist tents are 10' x 10' x 10’ tall. Group tents range in size from 10' x 20' (for up to 6 people) to 10' x 50' (for 10 or more). You will find a complete list of tent sizes and fees on the application form.

May I share a 10' x 10' tent with another artist?
No. Individual artists cannot share tents. However, a group may apply for a set of tents for its members to share. ArtWalk on the Bay limits group participation to established, permanent artist groups. There are no exceptions. See groups for frequently asked artist group questions.

What do I need to bring to my tent?
You will need to provide all the materials necessary to hang or display your work and to make yourself comfortable during the weekend. Besides hanging materials, you might consider tables, chairs, rugs, etc. You may view examples of ArtWalk on the Bay tents here. Visit our display resource page for ideas.

Will I have access to electricity in my tent?
Electricity is available at an additional fee of $100 per artist based on a minimum of 5 or more artists.

May I bring my own tent?
No. ArtWalk on the Bay bases the venue layout on very specific measurements of tents provided by a company contracted for the event.

When can I set up my tent?
Setup for ArtWalk on the Bay will begin on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 8:00 AM. Artists will receive a scheduled time that they are to arrive to begin set up in order to avoid congestion. Setup will also begin at 7:00 AM on Saturday; there are no scheduled set up times on Saturday as each artist needs a different amount of time to set up. Do I have to empty my tent at night during ArtWalk on the Bay?
You are not required to empty your tent, BUT we do recommend that you remove any items of value. ArtWalk on the Bay will provide security throughout the venue at night. ArtWalk on the Bay is not responsible for items lost or stolen.

When do I have to be out of my tent on Sunday?
Please remove everything from your tent by 9:00 PM Sunday evening (event ends at 5:00 PM).
