Artwork Requirement Questions
What kind of work is accepted at ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay showcases fine art. Our jury accepts artists who produce original, high-end, gallery-quality fine art.
What kind of work is not allowed at ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk is a fine art festival. Examples of the type of work that ArtWalk on the Bay does not accept include:
1. Craft-style art such as gourds, blankets, jewelry, baskets, etc.
2. No 'school project' level work.
3. No jewelry artists.
4. No mass produced artwork
5. No imported or manufactured items
Exception: ArtWalk on the Bay invites high end jewelry exhibitors who have been in the ArtWalk event on a continuous basis for many years to return.
Note: The majority of work may not be prints or giclees (see below).
May I sell prints or giclees of my work?
You may sell limited edition prints only. Prints must represent a minority of the work displayed. The majority must be original pieces. ArtWalk on the Bay will not allow artists who break this rule to return.
May I sell cards, greeting cards, t-shirts or postcards of my work?
Only cards, note cards or post cards in very limited quantities (must represent a minority of the work displayed. The majority must be original pieces). No t-shirts are allowed. ArtWalk on the Bay will not allow artists who break this rule to return.
