What is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay is San Diego’s newest urban arts festival sponsored by the Port of San Diego.  Produced by the same team that brings you ArtWalk San Diego each April, ArtWalk on the Bay will be held at Embarcadero Marina Park North (behind Seaport Village) and is expected to be an annual event going forward.

When is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay takes place September 13 and 14, 2008.  

Where is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay will take place at the beautiful Embarcadero Marina Park North (behind Seaport Village).

Is ArtWalk on the Bay juried?
ArtWalk on the Bay is a juried event. This is why ArtWalk on the Bay requires that artists supply images of art work along with their registration form and payment. The ArtWalk on the Bay jury reviews artwork based on specific artistic criteria. ArtWalk on the Bay strives to ensure that visitors have access to the best fine art experience possible.

When does registration begin for ArtWalk on the Bay 2008?
Registration for ArtWalk on the Bay 2008 is currently open. Registration continues until all tent spaces are sold.  It is best to register early as possible.

How many people attend ArtWalk on the Bay?
In 2007, ArtWalk on the Bay attracted about 40,000 attendees.

When is artist check in?
Artists may check in at the ArtWalk office (734 West Beech, Suite 100, San Diego 92101) beginning Monday, August 25. Checking in at the office saves you time! Avoid the rush on the weekend of the event. If you do wait until ArtWalk n the Bay weekend to check in, volunteers will be available at the ArtWalk on the Bay Artist Information area beginning at 7:00 AM.

What do I get for my registration fee?
Artists receive the following:
1. Tent covered exhibit space (size selected at registration)
2. Artist Package (see below)
3. A personal web page in our artist gallery online
4. Name and tent number in event map
5. A small sign on each tent with artist’s name and tent number.
6. Opportunity to submit news items for ArtWalk’s monthly eGram newsletter.

What is included in the Artist Package?
Your Artist Package includes the event map and an event T-Shirt.

When will I receive my map?
You must come into the ArtWalk office (734 West Beech St, Suite 100, San Diego 92101) to pick up your map, along with the rest of the Artist Package. You can send someone to pick up your Artist Package for you. Artists will receive an email when the artist packages are ready for pickup. Packages may be picked up on the weekend of the event at the ArtWalk on the Bay Artists Information area, which opens at 7:00 AM both days of the event.

Will I get exposure through other ArtWalk on the Bay projects?
There are many opportunities through local media or sponsors to bring your work to the public. If you are interested, contact our office for more details on current projects.
