What is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay is San Diego’s top Fall urban arts festival sponsored by the Port of San Diego and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Produced by the same team that brings you ArtWalk San Diego each April, ArtWalk on the Bay will be held at Waterfront Park at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

When is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay takes place September 18 and 19, 2010.

Where is ArtWalk on the Bay?
ArtWalk on the Bay will take place at the beautiful Waterfront Park at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

Is ArtWalk on the Bay juried?
ArtWalk on the Bay is a juried event. This is why ArtWalk on the Bay requires that artists supply images of art work along with their application form and payment. The ArtWalk on the Bay selection committee reviews artwork based on specific artistic criteria. ArtWalk on the Bay strives to ensure that visitors have access to the best fine art experience possible.

When can I apply for ArtWalk on the Bay 2010?
Applications for the 2010 ArtWalk on the Bay are being accepted beginning Monday, November 16, 2009. Artists may continue to apply until all tent spaces are sold. It is best to apply as early as possible.

How many people attend ArtWalk on the Bay?
The 2009 ArtWalk on the Bay attracted close to 40,000 attendees.

What hotels are in the area?
Hilton Hotels will be offering special reservation links for artists at the adjacent upscale Hilton San Diego Bayfront as well as at other downtown properties in the Hilton family.

When is artist check in?
Artist check in is at the event site on Friday, Sept. 17. Volunteers will be available at the ArtWalk on the Bay Artist Information area beginning at 7:00 AM.

What do I get for my application fee?
Artists receive the following:
1. Tent covered exhibit space (size selected when applying)
2. Artist Package (see below)
3. A personal web page in our artist gallery online
4. Name and tent number in event map
5. A small sign on each tent with artist’s name and tent number.
6. Opportunity to submit news items for ArtWalk’s monthly eGram newsletter.

What is included in the Artist Package?
Your Artist Package includes the event map and an event T-Shirt.

When will I receive my map?
Packages may be picked up beginning on Friday, September 17, and on the weekend of the event at the ArtWalk on the Bay Artists Information area, which opens at 7:00 AM both days of the event.

Will I get exposure through other ArtWalk on the Bay projects?
There are many opportunities through local media or sponsors to bring your work to the public. If you are interested, contact our office for more details on current projects.
